Change can be difficult
Counseling helps even when you're not ready for change — it's a space to process where you want to be. Recognizing unhelpful thoughts is a start; changing them takes support.
Portland & Telehealth
I'm a kink-aware, non-monogamy-affirming, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapist.
Is this a fit?
I'm a strong fit for goal-oriented clients ready to put in the work to build a better quality of life. If you want an active, collaborative approach to therapy rather than a passive one, we'll likely be a good fit.
My approach
I draw from several evidence-based and creative modalities, tailored to what you need:
Ecotherapy means walk-and-talk sessions, offered spring through fall. Curious what any of these involve? Ask — I'm happy to explain.
New clients
Let's begin with a short consultation. Once you schedule an appointment, I'll reach out for the information we need to complete your intake paperwork before our first session.
My counseling style is direct, goal-oriented, and focused on identifying and changing inaccurate or distorted thinking patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors — woven together with strategies like emotional regulation and mindfulness.
What to expect
Counseling helps even when you're not ready for change — it's a space to process where you want to be. Recognizing unhelpful thoughts is a start; changing them takes support.
For counseling to work best, you'll spend time analyzing your thoughts and feelings — and practicing your new skills in daily life, not just during our sessions.
Personal change doesn't happen overnight. Your early goals and accomplishments build, step by step, toward the bigger picture you're working toward.
Before you reach out
I'm currently taking new clients for telehealth.
Walk-and-talk sessions run spring through fall, weather permitting.
Finding the right therapist matters — let's make sure we're a good fit first.
